I live on Doray Drive and it is nice to see your cruiser making periodic trips on our street. I am sure you have studied this in the past, but I wish there was a way to get a red light at the Seibert-Thompson Run intersection. I found your web page while doing a search on police motorcyle units. I am the operations commander for a police department whose demographics appear to be very similar to your own. We currently have 57 sworn officers and a population of approximately 30,000. We're a suburban department located adjacent to Columbus, Oh. Hi

I am a Patrolman/D.A.R.E. Officer with the Town of Rumford, Maine USA Police Department. I began the Cop Card program in our area and worked with the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety on a mini grant which made it possible for Rumford to get Cop Cards. The cards have been a great success, and I'm hoping to work on Series 2 in the beginning of 1998. I am an avid Cop Card Collector and looking for any assistance with Departments that have Cop Cards in the USA, CANADA and possibly around the WORLD. I understand that your department maybe getting Police Trading cards and I would like to trade cards? My department has only a 14 card set printed by CHOICE MARKETING, but I would be happy to send you a set if you are interested. Patches are not my number one concern, but I would love a patch if you can spare one. If you know of departments with cop card sets or miscellaneous officers with cards, please let me know or send me your cop card. If you can be of assistance, I would really appreciate it. If you know of any other departments in your area or in other States/Countries with Cop Cards could you send or E-mail me a list of their Department's name, addresses and/or web sites.

Greetings Jim and Bill, just thought I'd send you a short note so that you know who is reading your home page. My name is Derek Chafer and I am a Police Dog Handler in the N.E. of the UK. I am a relative newcomer to the internet so was just nosing around when I came across your page which I found helpful and informative. That's quite a big list you boys have put together of useful sites. I'll have to try and work my way down it. Anyway there was lots of things I wanted to ask like why didn't your unit start until 95 etc. and your work and about your dogs but I'm sure you get asked lots of questions so instead I'll just tell you a little about one of your readers...me. I am just at this time starting to train another dog, he is a German Shepherd and called Sharpe. My present working dog, Zeus, has cancer and although he is only six he is going to have to retire early. I am 39 and have been a police dog handler since 1986. Keep up the good work with the home page. I'll visit it again.....Bye for now.....

Awesome page, found it off your home page...I am a Police Officer in Grand Haven, Michigan. I am looking to get a K9 team together in my Department but have recently come up against some resistance. The start up money has all been donated and the City has agreed to fund the upkeep of the program but the City Council has been sitting on the idea for some time. Anyway, I am looking for training schools to purchase/train with a dual purpose K9. Any suggestions??? We are looking to be up and running by the summer or fall of this year. Also I am looking for some information of how other Departments cover Officer reimbursement of off time and policy and procedure for the use of K9's in the field. Is there any way a puppy could be brought to a trainer that works for you and be trained? I am having trouble contacting reputable trainers. I don't need my dog to be trained for police work, just basic obedience, cmoe and her aggressiveness towards strangers. I am willing to pay money for the services (of course).
